Barfusser - Nürnberg

Good grounded kitchen to fair trips and the self-breaded beer is excellent.Great room and a beautiful terrace make this locally a good place to stay

We were looking for a place to eat before departing for Vienna. Chanced upon Barfuesser and decided to give it a go. I had a schnitzel which was not quite what I was expecting as it wasn't breaded and fried, but was just doused with some sauce. My husband had some Nuremberg mini sausages. We also sampled the house brews. Visited the loo before we left and I was surprised that the restaurant extended such a long way - it was massive and the beer tanks of the brewery were visible. Very impressive and looks like a nice ambience (was empty at that time of day in the late afternoon). When we got the bill, the waiter pointed out that we had been charged the wrong amount for the beer, as we ordered small beers rather than large. There was also a fee which I queried him about and he said it was a tax/ charge. Decided not to leave a tip in that case!

Da fuori quasi non si nota, ma una volta dentro si viene accolti da dei dipinti molto belli sulle pareti, la sala è molto grande e dall'arredamento tipico bavarese. Non vi aspettate ordine e modi eleganti: in perfetto stile, i camerieri hanno sempre molto da fare e saranno sbrigativi, ma nulla di personale.Gli arredamenti sono tipici, le birre (io adoro le scure) molto buone, e potrete trovare piatti tipici. Io ho assaggiato 8 piccole salsicce con crauti, davvereo gustose. I prezzi non sono economici ma neanche elevati, fatta eccezione per la birra che costa obiettivamente poco. Unico difetto è appunto che non si viene trattati con i guanti ma ehy, è una birreria.

This restaurant is located in the Mautkeller (the basement of the Mauthalle\old Customs House). It has a fitting medieval feel to it, having originally been built between 1498 and 1502. The building was bombed in 1943, but repaired/rebuilt about 9-10 years later, and offers a typical menu of German food and locally-brewed beer.

Si tratta di un locale enorme, con tavoli esterni ed interni, dove si possono trovare i piatti tipici della Baviera. Se per alcuni versi può essere considerato un locale "per turisti" (posizione, tipo di pietanze servite, dimensione del locale, orari di apertura), la presenza di avventori del posto è però numerosa e la qualità dei prodotti serviti assolutamente buona.Noi abbiamo preso due porzioni di spalla di maiale con crauti e due ottime weiss. La spesa è stata contenuta ed il servizio rapido e cortese: torneremo!
