Located in the heart of the friendly port, La Ribiera offers not only breathtaking sunset views but also a culinary experience well worth the detour. Discovered thanks to TripAdvisor, this restaurant quickly won us over and became an essential part of our stay. Having dined here three times, we were consistently delighted by the offered dishes. The fresh fish, impeccably grilled, goes perfectly with the grilled potatoes and a light salad—an absolute delight. On our last evening, we eat a lobster, grilled to perfection, making this a great moment. Each of these meals was accompanied by excellent local white wines, notably Arvard, offered à la carte. But beyond the gastronomy, it's the friendliness and impeccable attention of the staff that complete the experience. La Ribiera is a restaurant we enthusiastically recommend without the slightest hesitation.

Lovely, simple restaurant next to the harbour. Great service, freshest fish and generous portions. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing food and the knowledge from the team is fantastic even got introduced to acorda (a must try if in Portugal! wine was a great pairing (Alvarinho ! I sloppily dropped some food on my white shirt and two team members gave me an alcohol wipe and a napkin with hot water immediately without any help requested! Their attention to service is amazing! If you don’t mind a slightly longer wait for good food then this is simply perfection! We enjoyed the bass ceviche, oysters, red mullet and grouper!

At the bottom of the hill from the village, directly on the water, this glass-walled restaurant is a joy. the fish is perfect, and the personal lovely. the rotating wash seat in the toilet is an additional bonus!

Fairly quiet as early season but great staff very engaged with us and other diners, really nice people who went out of their way to make us feel welcome and valued customers, especially “Tom” who was great entertainment.Wonderful Turbot for main course, expertly cooked and served.All in all, a fantastic first evening back in Alvor!
