Restaurant was completely booked out which I thought is a good sign and waited at the bar for my order. Staff was quite friendly and welcoming but clearly very busy. After about 10 minutes the pizzas were ready to go. Upon returning home the pizzas were still nice and warm in their boxes. Opening the box resulted in immediate disappointment. We had ordered the four seasons pizza. Normally the ingredients are grouped in four quadrants of the pizza representing the four seasons. These pizzas consisted of fluffy dough almost 3/4 thick covered to the edges in soggy, canned artichoke hearts. After scraping those mostly away there was a thin slice of ham, four thin slices of mushroom on the normal cheese and tomato sauce topping. The edges of the pizza were burned black in some parts and smelled like burned bread. A total disaster. Either that is the style preferred here in northern Germany or the pizza cook hasn 't got a clue about what a pizza looks like in Italy. Inferring that the other Italian dishes on the menu might suffer from a similar interpretive fate we decided never to return again. A shame because of a convenient location, friendly wait staff and nice ambience in the restaurant.
