One cannot talk about Saint Louis barbecue without talking about Sugarfire. First off, let me start by saying that the staff and service here at this...
First, I want to state that I lived in St Louis and lived there when this store opened on Olive Blvd. I moved away but have eaten there several occasions...
Great place to get BBQ outside the city center, where it does not crowd! felt really good, able to go straight in and order. It was not because of human deficiency, only very good flow at the service level. Ribs were great, a beautiful tie on the outside with good fat and juice in the middle. I should recommend the Mac and cheese? ve doubled. Corn bread was 5/10, rather dry. Also love the options for sauces. Total great visit and recommended if you have time for good St. Louis bbq.
Sugar fire was great! Were greeted immediately, asked if I was a first timer, and showed me how to order. I have the two meat plates, Brisket and pork were excellent. Baked green beans and cornbread were great. Something over $20 that seemed appropriate for good BBQ!
