I had demanded nothing special because the honey was added at the end. also was a bit rough that the personal gloves were wearing, but they would often take them off and use their hands. a person scratched her head and touched her hair, then cut strawberries without gloves or wash her hands.
I loved the mushroom toast. they had many vegan options! updated by the previous review on 2021-07-16
Nice that there is something vegan in the area of the shopping center, but. service was really bad. Five people who came after me were served before me. the food felt of low quality as cost co bulk goods. the bowl I was made was mostly granola and very little açaí. not sure that the granola is vegan. the honeydef seems to be cut with maissirup although I didn't eat it, so I just say look at it. Anyway, if there are zero vegan option otherwise, this place has a few: smoothies and bowls. but they need to work on their service, quality and prep consistency.
I had read about this place on happycow and was in the city (juni 2014,) so I went after a look. here is my backyard bowls review. not as much a restaurant as we would expect, but an Acai bowl and smoothies bar. you could get a lot of hits with your bowl. we have a ground with acai berries and well tasted.
I had the Acaí breakfast bowl and couldn't have been happier! Added strawberries and bananas and used agave Instead of honey. Large portions. Awesome little spot, will definitely return next time I'm in town. This is an excellent breakfast spot for vegans and those interested in following The China Study's whole food, plant based diet.
