I dined in as a table of 3 for dinner with my boyfriend's family and while the food was good, they charged us 18% tip without notification. Not that we wouldn't have tipped just as much, but I've been a sever/bartender and the integrity of this is appalling. If I had done this at the restaurant I've worked at, I would've been fired. Good food, questionable ethical practices. My family doesn't want to come here again.
I love their Shrimp Pad Tai when they don't cook the shrimp to death. Today the shrimp was probably half as small as usual and the shrimp was brown and had a crust on them. They tasted like leather. If you don't like shrimp cooked to death make sure you ask that they be cooked tender and not hard and you will have a great dish.
Probably one of hardest things to do when you go to one of your favorite restaurants, is to avoid some of dishes that knocked it out the park the first go around -at that the healthiest option without going completely vegan. I must say this place doesn't let down at all!! You could probably close your eyes and just choose something and it will astound your tongue in some way or another.
I ordered pad thai Bangkok and with chicken and shrimp they completely skimped on the shrimp (only 1 on whole plate) and I love shrimp, I also had repeatedly ask the waiter for utensils to eat the food, soup was amazingly flavorful and delicious, also they automatically include 18% tip in the bill . Lovely ambience, very clean, friendly staff, quick service had food within 10 mins, they were very busy and close to closing time for the afternoon. ALL halal thai food.
Decent strip mall Thai. Not authentic tasting but edible. Decent lunch special.
