EspadÍn - Temecula

My review is primarily based on my experience with the food we tried. The location is great; it has a nice atmosphere, and the service was satisfactory. We went during happy hour, which offered three food options. We ordered two of them, but both were drenched in some kind of mayo-based sauce, which none of us enjoyed. Honestly, I wish I had just gone for the margarita, which was quite good. My kids are used to dining at Mexican restaurants, and this was the first time they didn't like the food. Additionally, my husband had to ask for three different beers before he could find one that was actually available.

We decided to try this restaurant on a whim because it seemed so popular. After being seated and tasting the food, I can definitely see myself coming back for lunch or dinner in the future.

This restaurant is fantastic—it offers an impressive selection of drinks rather than just being a bar with food. I will certainly return! The service was excellent, and everyone enjoyed their meals. I also had a really delicious margarita.

To give an idea how good their food is, we drove 2hrs. in Sat. traffic from HB, just for lunch. My wife LOVES the sizzling shrimp fajita. Which is truely the absolute best anywhere! The carmalized coating the developes on the shrimp is to die for. My favorite is the Huachinango a la Veracruzana. It's not on the menu any more, but I asked for it and it was my lucky day! Chef Journey offered to make it for me and boy did he pull out all the stops. He made the most fenomenal H.V. I've ever had. Even better than in Guadalajara. He added his own special bonus trimmed it out with shrimp, muscles huge scallops! It was pure heaven. Thank you so much, Journey, (if you're reading this). We usually go out there about once a year. Perhaps more more often in the future.

I came here on a short trip to Temecula with a friend. First time going to Espadín. As we are in a hurry, they serve food quickly. But we were less impressed with the food. We ordered Tacos Combo and Carnitas Burritos. Somewhat overcooked and they lack seasoning and taste. Carnitas Burritos with pork meat inside, taste too greasy and I just finished one-third of it. Service is good but may mess bill. After communication, our server was nice and helps to remove the extra charges and I tip him well.
