A great place for slow and delicious food, good views, friendly service, and a cozy lodge atmosphere; just be sure to call the restaurant for a reservation as opposed to using Google.

Food was good but a little pricey,my problem was when asked about merchandise for sale employee seemed bothered to get items,we bought a long sleeve shirt,a hoodie and a flannel shirt,I didn't look at receipt after purchase,felt like we were being a bother to the lady Summer p was on receipt,we were charged $15 more for Flannel shirt than what was on tag,what bothers me the most was after I got home and checked,we were charged $28.60 for a tip,for buying merchandise,this doesn't make sense,not very good for your business,we will not be eating at your establishment again

Enjoyed a wonderful meal with family in this quinticential UP North eatery.

Our friends recommended The Up North Lodge for dinner while we were visiting in the Gwinn area. The Lodge has plenty of off-street free parking. We were seated right away upon arrival. The Lodge is a large restaurant with plenty of space. Our server was friendly and attentive. The menu has a wide variety of items including in house BBQ. Everyone found something on the menu to order even though the white fish was out when we ordered. The portions were ample. The Lodge also mixes a great Brandy Old Fashion. Our bill for four for dinner even with drinks was around $100 before tip. The Up North Lodge was a good choice for dinner, and we look forward to returning the next time we're in town.
