I used refrigerated shortening, which stayed kind of lumpy when I whisked itNext time, I think I'll warm the shortening so it blends better.
Outstanding. After cleaning the shrimp I dried them off with a paper towel so the batter would adhere better
Delicious recipe! I used peanut oil in pan, and forgot to add the shortening, and it was fantastic! Tastes great on shrimp, zucchini, broccoli, and sweet potato.
