It was supposed to be St. Patrick's day party, and the last thing we expected to get in Irish pub in such an event was very loud, almost painful pop-mediterranean style music (I play bass player in a rock band, I know a thing or two about loud music : . We were six people, it was supposed to be a meeting with friends that we didn't see for a while, but the conversation wasn't possible, I was barely able to hear the person sitting next to me, so we finished our beer and left.
Never again! Bad service. Bad food. We sit in the middle of an empty bar and they wont come to take our order for a long time. The Hoegaarden they brang tasted like ****. Of course they forgot my food (from order of 3, in an empty bar... . Chicken wings totally tasteless, but at least it took away my hunger. As a grand finale the waitress dropped our credit cards on the floor and started looking for them with a flashlight.
Although one could miss it from the outside, with a very un-sexy entrance and only a large sign reading Dublin the inside is a completely different story. Styled with heavy wooden furniture brought especially from Ireland, the place screams Dublin. Large space with large and small tables to suit any kind of company, as well as little seperated sitting areas if youd like to add a more private , intimate feeling to your night. A small outdoor sitting area is also available, with low sofas, a personal favorite. Even on cold winter nights it has a warm feel to it. The bar is impressive though you will have your back to the crowds if you choose to entertain it. Theres a large selection of alcohol in the best irish tradition. The menue has plenty of choices considering its a bars menue, offering meat and dairy options such as hamburgers and pizzas. the food itself is kosher, but the kitchen isnt seperated. The music is meditterenean though the host will cater to your music preferences on slow evenings. We heard rock. Weekends and some weekdays are full, though on wensdays you may feel like the place is completely at your disposle. A large tv screen allows you to watch that importamt game over beer and friends. Parking lots near by. The service is wonderful. Our host and waitress Naama, is just a gem, and we.d love to return even if only to see her.
Highly recommended place. Can be very crowded even in the middle of the week. Happy hours for early birds coming before 7pm.
Since we are not in our prime age anymore, we are having our weekly meeting Wednesdays at 19:30 hours. Too early for the younger generation. The whole pub was at our disposal, the music was pleasant and not too loud, the service impeccable the food very good and huge servings! What else can one expect?
