We entered the restaurant a bit after 11 o'clock! There were still seats available, so six of us had lunch! We had tonkatsu curry and it was delicious. By the time we finished eating, the restaurant was full!
I had a sirloin steak of Bungo beef and a local dish called "yasuma" from Oita. "Yasuma" is a local snack made by flattening and stretching dumplings made of wheat flour and boiling them, then coating them with "kinako" (soybean flour) and sugar. It is a must-try for people from Oita. In addition, they also have sweets like cheesecake and pudding, so it's good to save room for dessert. By the way, the "yasuma" sold in souvenir boxes is specifically for souvenirs and is different from the authentic "yasuma". The sirloin steak is made with Bungo beef and is served with grated ponzu (citrus soy sauce) for a refreshing taste. The menu also includes hamburgers, various curries, and bento boxes for takeaway. It might be nice to enjoy your meal with a good view in Kusumi. Additionally, the nearby Michi-no-Eki Taketa also sells a variety of items, so it's worth checking out.
