I usually order the steamed eel, but this time I went for the grilled eel set with extra rice and a beer. The beer comes with eel bones as a service. The difference between the regular and premium options is that the premium includes a whole eel, while the regular is only half. The extra rice portion is huge and really surprised me with its volume. The sweet and rich sauce makes the rice go down smoothly. The price is on the higher side, but considering the taste and portion size, I would say it's worth around 3,000 yen.
I occasionally order takeout seiro steamed eel. When I eat it fresh at home right away, it is just as delicious as eating it in the restaurant. The fluffy eel is mouthwatering. I always order the special grade by phone, but it is not listed on the menu, so I always make sure to confirm if it is available each time. It is also very filling, making it a luxurious treat once in a while.
I visited for lunch, and even though I was a little late for the order stop, they still managed to find a seat for me. I had some steamed dumplings, which were plump and delicious. It took a bit longer for the food to be served, but you could tell that it was being cooked fresh after ordering, and the taste did not disappoint. I am interested in trying their grilled dishes as well, so I will definitely visit again when I am in the area.
