It has a vast area equivalent to 278 Tokyo Domes, covering about 1,400 hectares. Local residents often compare it to the Sapporo Dome in terms of size. There is an observatory at the top of the hill where you can feel the vast Notsuke Plateau. You can directly feel the breath of the earth during sunrise and sunset. The observatory has a spacious parking lot and there are also shops. There are quite a few municipal ranches in various parts of Hokkaido. They take care of cows from various dairy farms, providing night grazing in the summer for proper health management. Cows are generally sensitive to heat, which can result in poor milk production.
During the beautiful season of autumn leaves, I stopped by on my leisurely journey. I borrowed equipment at the rest house, enjoyed playing park golf while watching grazing cows and magnificent scenery, and made wonderful memories. Activities are definitely essential for a trip!
The restaurant is pronounced as Kyu Maru Maru Sougen. It's more like a vast hill than a prairie. It's a view that you won't see in Honshu, and definitely worth a visit.
