For unfamiliar ingredients, there are cooking instructions, which is a nice touch. The casual snacks have a simple and familiar taste. Local kiln dishes, like the popular Daisen-yaki, have a rustic flavor. This spot is perfect for a break during a drive around Mount Daisen.
Located on the mountainside of Mt. Ooyama, this restaurant is a complex facility equipped with a BBQ corner and tennis courts that focuses on using locally sourced ingredients. Every autumn, they hold the Garden Place Festival which attracts many visitors. Normally, I stop by for a break during my cycling tour of Mt. Ooyama or as a meeting point for touring groups. You can also enjoy light snacks made with local ingredients at the clubhouse.
We were able to buy vegetables at a reasonable price. It costs ¥600 to rent one tennis court, which is a steal for four people. We also got 10 free balls to use. There were small children playing in the water play area and it looked cool and refreshing. They also had BBQ, a dining area, and a café, so there were plenty of options for food and drinks to enjoy.
