りき Shí Táng - 安芸高田市

I used to occasionally visit this restaurant in the past, but recently I felt nostalgic and visited with my family of six. The building itself is old, but the exterior and interior are well cleaned and maintained, making it quite a beautiful place to enjoy a delicious meal. The menu is diverse, and although I don't remember exactly what we ordered, everything was good and there were no disappointments. As everyone has said, the sauce is delicious. I'm not sure if it's a secret menu item, but the oden was particularly tasty. The total bill came to a little over 16,000 yen, which I felt was reasonable. Highly recommended.

The meat was tender and delicious. The sauce was also very good and it's easy to see why it's highly rated. I thought that those who like a refreshing soy-based sauce might not enjoy it, but I personally liked it. The rice was also delicious, and I definitely want to visit this restaurant again. However, amidst the challenges of the pandemic, I hope the restaurant will continue to thrive, so I feel compelled to mention that despite the sign prohibiting smoking, the owner or perhaps the master himself was smoking and the strong smell bothered me. It may have been because it was a weekday and only regular customers were there, but it makes it difficult to visit with children. Apart from that, it was a very lovely restaurant.

I stopped by for lunch in Akitakada on a work trip. I was surprised that all lunch items were only 600 yen including tax, but I was pleasantly surprised. The "Hormone Lunch" I ordered had sweet sauce that coated the meat perfectly, making it easy to eat plenty of rice.
