Staff and Sous Chef were very well informed how to prepare a safe food for celiac and other food allergies. I went for a set 4-course menu all vegan birthday dinner party and was really impressed by the creative flavors and dishes that tasted sooo well! They knew that most places usually did not remove like the Oat Granola from dessert to keep it safe. Absolutely would recommend anyone looking for a raised place to eat with a very accommodating cook. Please make sure that you always check with the kitchen, although, as I believe, this special cook will open a whole vegan decor and finally leave the restaurant.
Superior cuisine and pairings as we expected. Along with impeccable service. My partner and I found the value to be less when comparing like restaurants such as Restaurant 62 or Hanks that are in the same calibre to fine dining.
On our vacation to Whistler, we went to Alta for me and my wife's anniversary dinner and we were not disappointed.Everyone played their part perfectly, from the hostess to the servers. They were all delightful and anytime we had a question, it was answered in detail. The food was outstanding. We had the sourdough focaccia, smoked olives, bison tartare, pork shoulder, wagyu sirloin, and chocolate mousse. Each course seemed better than the last. It was an explosion of flavours, many of which you'd never think paired well together. The ONE thing that was rather strange was how the staff only addressed me, but not my wife. I imagine this is by design as it was done with everyone who came to our table. It resulted in me having to remember everything I was told, then relay it to her. Seemed needless.Kid-friendliness: There were a number of tables with children.Wheelchair accessibility: This is a ground level building with easy access.Dietary restrictions: There were identifiable vegetarian options on the menu.
Probably the best kept secret restaurant in Whistler. This isn’t a corporate restaurant it feels very family run and personable. The service and food was amazing. Every dish far exceeded our expectations and the cocktails, both alcoholic and non alcoholic were fantastic. I would definitely recommend putting Alta Bistro on your dining plan in Whistler!Dietary restrictions: Great for Gluten Free
