Gastroteca - A Coruña

Gastroteca is by far one of the most interesting places I´ve eaten in recently and I went back 3 times during my stay. The chalkboard menu isn´t huge (always a good thing in my book) but the dishes are interesting and very creative. My favourite dish is the Salmon Carpaccio which comes served on a piece of slate. I also tried a dish of cheese which looked like mozzarella but which was creamy inside and served with a fresh tomato sauce and mini crostinis. The homemade vegetable gyoza dumplings were excellent and served with truffle oil. The chefs here are very creative and the place itself original. Gastroteca has a musical theme. The place mats are vinyl records and the bill comes in a cassette case. Our drinks order was served with complimentary portions of raxo (pork) and fried cubed potatoes served in mini pans and was extraordinarily tasty. I´ll definitely be going back here. It´s great value for money and the food is funky, modern and fresh. Total bill including wine euros 27. Excellent!

Pequeño restaurante acogedor y original. Menú de mercado a muy buen precio. Carta pequeña pero se cambia semanalmente. La comida riquísima y la presentación espectacular. Muy recomendable.

COCINA INNOVADORA DE CALIDAD CON PLATOS IDEALES PARA COMPARTIR Se encuentra en el hotel NH A Coruña Centro, pero con entrada e instalaciones totalmente independientes. Tiene una interesante oferta de platos y raciones, de cocina innovadora y moderna de calidad. El local cuenta con un reservado con una gran mesa alta en torno a la cual resulta muy agradable una comida o cena de amigos. Los postres son muy buenos, diría buenísimos. Ofrece un menú del día muy bueno, distinto a lo que se suele servir en la mayoría de locales, por 14 euros. El servicio bueno, y está muy bien de precio.

Local pequeño muy agradable con 2 espacios diferenciados. En el primero mesas y en el segundo tableros para compartir. La carta tiene muy buena pinta a precio razonable. Menú diario a 12 euros de calidad y muy rico. (Medio menú 8eur).

Cafetería grande, tranquila para descansar con tapa. Carta básica pero contundente en cantidad. Bien situado y fácil de llegar.
