Their ever revolving weekly menu brings locally sourced ingredients to life in ways I wouldn’t have thought possible. The dinners are incredible; the desserts are nothing short of spectacular. In particular, the almond cloud cookies are just to die for. Words will not correctly express the feeling you get after eating them. North Country residents should make The Big Spoon a priority.
Great food from great people. I really appreciate the effort they’re making to bring quality, sustainable, healthy food to the North Country. Keep up the good work!
Osso Buco beef was warmly spicy and so tender we ate with spoons (didn't want to waste ANY sauce) So good! Veggie Lasagna creamy and firm with great bechamel and spinach flavors. Jambalaya, Vegan, so nice, mildly spicy and healthy! All heated well with directions included. Plus we got yummy some relish all for $40 and in two nights two of us still haven't finished it all. we'll be back!
Wow. What a treat. We planned for take-out for our anniversary, and when we showed up for pickup, a lovely woman in a mask came to greet us in the parking lot even though we were early. The food is beautiful in presentation and even better in flavor(s). Love that all ingredients are local. Plus we could use reusable glass containers with plastic at a minimum. Great food, fantastic people, and a nice way to save a few nights of cooking. Some neat local dishes and stuff you can't easily get around here!
