Anno Cafe - Aalesund

We booked a "julebord" and received confirmation that we would be served Christmas food. However, upon our arrival, we were informed that they had run out. This was extremely disappointing.

We were greeted warmly and seated promptly. The service was okay, a little slow. While some tables have a fantastic view, unfortunately ours did not. The food was average, I ordered the bacalao, but the sauce tasted like it came from a can and the rest of the dish seemed haphazardly put together. The restroom was not very clean. Overall, I would not return to this restaurant.

After sightseeing and shopping for Norwegian sweaters, we stopped here for lunch. This is a restaurant/bar and is very busy. The fish soup was incredible. Would definitely eat here again.

I am puzzled by the numerous positive reviews of this restaurant. The menu is strange and the employees seem overworked and poorly managed. The pizza is of low quality and the fish, although high quality, is presented poorly and served lukewarm. I don't plan on returning to this establishment.

The staff were friendly and the menu had a nice offering of dishes. The food was beautifully presented.
