The owner was the singer as well but the talking was way to long in Swedish which I didn 't appreciated. He knew we don 't speak Swedish and the only thing he said was is a good opportunity to learn Swedish while we are in town . Well we are tourists for few days is no way to pick up and words. Since you have such a long speech during the show to fill up the time you should talk in English as well. For 30 min we was falling a sleep. All the respect for the blind people but we will like to know your story too.
You should book in advance and be open mind for another level of new experience. It is just not a dark bar, great food, nice music, and entertainment, but also the lesson learned you take away from the experience. I would not reinforce the concept one time in your life goal but I think you can easily keep coming because you may learn something different each time. When you arrive at the bar, they will serve you a welcome drink and then just wait till they call your name. You are encouraged to turn off all your gadgets. “Ulf” brought me and my significant other to the table. He explains the instruction and rechecks any food allergies. We sat at the table. Everything is completely dark and you need to activate your sense apart from seeing. Soon later, Kristina takes over the service and serve us some more drinks. She is very helpful. The course is consisting of 3 menus from appetizer, main course, and dessert. You will be surprised and try to eat in the dark. The food was very good and easy to eat. It will not be something complicated. I think the food quality was good for me but of course not the „wow“ expression. During the meal, there will be a performance that you can enjoy. In the end, they will reveal what have we eaten. In conclusion, top service, and great food. PS. The portion is fine for me. I am full.
If you enjoy new experiences, this place would not disappoint you. At the location, there’s a small waiting room where everyone checks in. You can buy a drink package or whatever drink you want while waiting. You are handed with a device that shows a number which counts down to 01. When it’s your turn, you walk to the entrance in front of the red curtain. A staff, who’s blind, will take you to the dining hall which is pitch dark. The staff will take your hand to your seat and explain to you where your plate, silverware and glasses are. The package we got had 3 courses. In between each course, the owner (I think would play guitar and sing. He’s a very good singer. He also told the audience his story, from becoming blind to opening the restaurant (in Swedish . However I would say that he did talk a bit too much. It would have been better if he shortened his speech a bit as it was a bit boring especially if you don’t understand Swedish. When you finished all courses, they will explain to you what you just ate. The staff will then lead you out of the room one group at a time. You will not see be able to see what the dining room looks like. But I think you can find some pictures online. : Overall it was a fun and unique experience. Experience: 5/5 Food: 4/5 (small portion Service: 5/5 (Lisa and Rebecca were great
Great experience, music and food (just smell and taste)
Cannot commend this once in a lifetime experience enough. Throw any expectations or ideas out of the window, this is unique, fun and a truly to thought provoking experience. It deserves all the praise in the world. One should come in with an open mind that this is an experience more than a dinner. A multi faceted experience guided by the owner, a wonderful waiter and a good cook. You'll experience blindness, listen to good music with great lyrics and eat yummy homey food. Don't expect any Michelin star experience food wise. The food was good, the atmosphere made it amazing. The mundane rendered incredible.
