We had a wonderful dinner it was the first day of their new Fall menu There were so many wonderful choices of completely different dishes to try, I could barely choose! I have to say Thank You to Ron, Angelia, and their team for their awesome customer service and what was probably one of the best meals I’ve ever had I also appreciate Ron, the chef, coming to our table several times to make sure that we were enjoying our meal and evening. It was like being in someone’s home, the way they took care of us. We started off with a lovely Charcuterie tray, their Fig preserves with Brie is always my favorite. We shared a bottle of their 606 Moscato. Mike had the seared salmon, shrimp and crab with lemongrass risotto. I had the Soy orange ginger glazed cafe’ steak with sesame rice and Asian vegetables. Finally we finished with dessert, Mike chose the Peanut Butter ganache and I had the coconut snowball with a coconut mousse. (I forgot to get photos of that, it was so good we just dug right in! Seriously if you haven’t been there, you have to go and if you haven’t been in awhile, you need to visit soon! Everything was just perfect and will be a night we’ll always remember! PS if you do decide to visit you will more than likely need to make reservations.
Unfortunately, we were unable to visit as we had planned. On Monday, 7/16, we made reservations through Open Table to celebrate my wife’s birthday on Saturday, 7/22 in the Vineyard’s lovely lounge area. We were to be joined by one friend, and would be a party of three. We’ve always enjoyed the food, the wines and the ambience at the Vineyard. When we arrived, we were told that our reservation had been changed from the lounge to the bar, a more crowded and noisier area. When asked about the change, we were told that the policy of the restaurant is that requests for reservations for parties of six or more would be honored over those for smaller parties, and that only reservations made by telephone would guarantee the reservation. I believe that it would be reasonable to expect a call notifying us of the change before we arrived and we’re disappointed. This was not how I had hoped to celebrate my wife’s birthday.
We have been to the vineyard many times as a loyal customers, But today we had a horrific experience involving the active partner. We questioned our bill over the waitress offering us to taste a wine and then be charged for it. We were never told there would be a charge until we received the bill. Unfortunately, one of the owner partners told the waitress in our presence, to give us the credit and GET US OUT OF HERE. We spent over $300.00 for dinner and this was how it ended. The acting owner manager told us to get the F— out of here. They lost the respect and also a loyal customer. We we were also told it was against the law to give a customer a taste. Truly Very Bad Business. We will Not Be Back!
Sign posted that kids can 't be in the store front after 5PM. Show up at 4:30 with my 2 kids. Place is almost completely empty. They turn me away saying there is no where for me to sit even though all the tables are empty. Could have had plenty of time for a glass of wine and charcuterie. This is the second time they have turned me away like this. I got frustrated and made a comment to the staff that it 's not a great business model and left. A man from the business follows me down the road shouting It is a great business model if you don 't want to be around kids in front of my kids. Can honestly say I am never going back and never recommending this place. I am a huge wine enthusiast, a business owner myself with 2 kids. Very disappointing
The food is always incredible. They have an amazing wine selection and the staff is beyond professional and friendly. Hands down the best restaurant in Havre de Grace! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
