Didn't have to wait long for a drink at the bar despite how busy it was. Food on offer was mostly your typical pub grub so something for everyone, prices were very reasonable for being in the city centre. Will definitely be making Slains a regular pitstop for further work dos, great night had by all!
The food we had was ok, but on a table of ten that ordered at the same time, I had finished my meal before the last person was served. The staff at the bar couldn't have been less interested when ordering drinks, I got one word when ordering a round. Also, why have QR codes encouraging you to order on the app, when there's. no. signal. or. WiFi. in .the. building.
Ordered a traditional breakfast with Beans in separate dish, came with beans on plate.......lorne sausage was awful and burnt,no tattie scone (was on menu) bacon was burnt....No kids breakfast and coffee was cold...staff were too busy talking to friends at bar so didn't bother complaining to them!!
A great place to go for lunch. Recommend their mixed grill. Had good rapport with the waitress Dani. Service very good.
Seemingly lost its spark. Staff were more interested in the TV, phones or discussing who they wanted to sleep with compared to serving. Sport is no longer being advertised so you just have to hope they show what you want to watch. Seem to be like every other bar and catering towards students and not caring about anything else.
