The caffe is also a bookshop, so it is a must if they love books. they can have a cup of coffee or buy their lunch at the selection of a book. a good place to hang out either with friends or by yourself. for vegan options I would not say that there are many when I went and the personal was not very striving to help. I had a suppe and a sipcake, which was in order, nothing special for eating.
I don't really understand why this place is so high rated here: the options are quite much inconvenient sandwiches with few and not very exciting ingredients on cheap brot or some baked kartoffels also with an uninspired choice of toppings. the place is central and if you need only one meal for 5-6 pfund quickly, it can be an option. the atmosphere is beautiful with all books. updated by previous review on 2019-02-18
Before many months I got my morning coffee from books beans on the way to rgu’s school of engineering, which was earlier around the corner. I always loved the place, his little place, and I like the character of it. I wasn't vegan at that time, but since I went vegan, I was a few times when I was in a quiet city center and I love the suppening they do. I also had one of the sandwiches I enjoyed. I think they actually make a suppe and sandwich deal, but I forget the exact details, although a suppe and the sandwich together was a bit too much to eat for me.
The cafe is nice, especially if you go upstairs to the bookstore. They have great coffee with vegan milk options, but their food and cake selection can improve. Worth a visit anyways tho!
