Contribuisci feedback£9.50 for a fish supper (plus 30p for a sachet of tartare sauce) is too much when the food tastes as bland as this did. Am glad I bought the sauce as otherwise there would have been no flavour. Worst chippy I've ever had.
Stumbled upon the superb wee chipper next to the transport museum in Alford while out for a drive and delighted to report that the food is excellent! Two delicious fish suppers, chips with just the right amount of crunch, fish that was tasty and succulent and batter that was beautiful and golden. Good sized portions too Just so happened to be passing and so happy to have found this place. And such friendly happy smiling staff. Will be back!
We found this place by complete accident but as SO chuffed we did. We've been back a couple of times since our discovery and have been really pleased with the tastiness of the food and at the pirce too! We ordered 2 kids portions and it was perfect size The only thing that almost caught us out was the pay by cash but we found a cashpoint at the co-op round the corner Queues can be quite long but it's worth the wait
If the owner is cooking food not very good over cook or under cook and cuts the food open in the fryer so it's full of fat
Been a few times because I gave it benefit of the doubt. Each time it was greasy, tasted disgusting, and had an added side of HAIR. Staff are friendly enough apart from one sour faced quine there who always eyeballs the customers, rather rude. I don't think I'll be back in a hurry.
