The employees were extremely friendly at this impeccably clean café located across from the fascinating harbor. The menu was diverse, the food was outstanding, and the prices were extremely affordable.
Great food. Honestly it was the best roll in bacon and egg I've ever had!! My two boys both finished their rolls. A rare feat. I'll be back.
We arrived for lunch at 12pm and found that the small restaurant was full with no available seats. Instead of dining in, we opted for takeout. Despite the limited number of tables, the place seemed to be struggling with service. Several tables were occupied, and we noticed two couples who arrived after us were left waiting with menus for the entire 30 minutes we were there. The waitress appeared unsure of what to do, and the overall service seemed disorganized. It seems like there may be new ownership, but there is a need for better training or more staff to improve the situation. However, the food itself was delicious, and we hope that on our next visit, the restaurant has improved its organizational skills.
It's been a while since we were last in Macduff so this was like coming home. A really friendly welcome and (hurrah! Cullen Skink was on the menu. A superb example of this local dish. This was accompanied by a perfect decaf mocha, served in a glass as it should be. Were we tempted by the pecan roulade? Of course we were, and it didn't disappoint! The Seafront seems as popular with locals as it is with visitors and rightly so.
