I had specified that I wanted vegetarian options when booking. Unfortunately, upon arrival, the only vegetarian option available was veggie sausages. Meanwhile, meat eaters had a variety of choices, like chicken or turkey, for the same price. This was very disappointing and we ultimately decided to dine elsewhere.
Nestled beneath the Sugarloaf (Pen y fâl), this pub is located near the Sugarloaf vineyard. They offer a respectable vegetarian and vegan menu, as well as Brain's beers. Unfortunately, my favorite, Barry Island IPA, is only available in small cans. The restaurant boasts spectacular views, especially from window seats. In a town known for its culinary offerings, Abergavenny, finding vegetarian options can be challenging, making the Lamb Flag a pleasant surprise.
The restaurant is conveniently located near the Sugarloaf vineyards in Pen y fâl. They offer a good selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes, as well as a variety of Brain's beers. However, my favorite, the Barry Island IPA, is only available in small quantities. The restaurant also boasts spectacular views for those lucky enough to snag a window seat. Abergavenny may be known as the capital of Wales, but it doesn't have an abundance of vegetarian options, making the Lamb Flag a pleasant surprise.
The pub, located beneath Sugarloaf (Pen-y-fâl), is near Weinberg's Sugarloaf. It offers a good selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes, as well as Brain's beer. However, my favorite Barry Island IPA is only available in small quantities. The pub also boasts spectacular views for those lucky enough to snag a window seat. Abergavenny, being the capital of Wales, is not exactly known for its vegetarian options, making the lamb dish a welcome find.
