I ran across your review of Rockin' Robin's Diner quite innocently, and found it most interesting, because I am one of the owners. While I do appreciate your compliment on the good tasting burger, I was extremely disappointed to learn that you found the burger oily and our fries over fried! This is not something I we have ever been told, so truly does come as a surprise. However, I am sure you could not have been talking about the Trucker Burger being of miniscule portion, as this burger is 1 2 pound of 100% ground Chuck that is the highest quality meat that can be purchased. This is the same grade of meat you would find at a fine dinner house. Since you wrote this review when we had been open for only 4 months, I am writing to ask you to please try us again. At 4 months, we had barely gotten our feet wet, and have learned a great deal and made a great deal of changes since then. Also, our macaroni and potato salad, and our chili are all freshly made and never purchased pre packaged. I hope that you'll try one of these! We sincerely appreciate your taking time to post these sorts of comments, and really excited for you to come back and try it again.... Thanks so much! Liz Might try this place again in the future on one of my Bike Rides to Elk Grove Sacramento. The Burger tasted pretty good, but the Fries were something else...
Rockin' Robins used to be another burger joint that was so-so, and apparently owners switched sometime in the last couple of years. My expectations were initially not too high. I decided to take the family with one of our daughters, kid friend, out for burgers after a show. Rockin' Robins is conveniently located off Highway 99 at a truck stop. We ordered a burger for my girfriend and I to share, some onion rings, and the kids just got ice cream. The burger we had was really good with ol' patty in the middle. The lettuce, tomatos, and onions were all fresh and crisp. The cheese was melted just right over the sides of the patty. Everythign was good about this burger down to the buns. Very delicious. The onion rings are something else to noted. MASSIVE. My girlfriend and I couldn't think of another place we had been to with similar onion rings, awesome. The price is very reasonable. It's a cool lil' dive if you'd like a burger.
Rockin' Robin's isn't open anymore, but I wish them luck and wanted to let everyone know a new restaurant just opened up in that location, so we have options again! We had breakfast there and are glad to have a new place for breakfast in the area. The new prices are *very* reasonable and my omelette was quite good nice fresh mushrooms in there!
