Restaurant Bar El Pulpo

Just stopped for a quick beer or two, was a flying visit... but looks clean, staff friendly and accommodating to those with sub standard Spanish such as myself

The huachinango ala talla is wonderful. You can eat in the restaurant or on the beach under the palapa. The sunset is unreal. Love walking the beach (very easy in the area) and coming back and ordering dinner.

Had read the reviews on Tripadvisor and encouraged a group of friends to come with us. Unfortunately, we were generally disappointed. When we first arrived, we were pleasantly impressed by the sight of the pool, but from there, it was much the same as many of the restaurants on that beach strip. The bathrooms were okay, but we had to climb two storeys from the beach, and one of our friends is not very mobile. The menu was not very extensive, and the food that we ordered was just average. For us, it was not worth travelling over an hour to get there from Acapulco.Just for an update, the restaurant does accept credit cards now.

Restaurant El Pulpo is a very modest, clean little restaurant overlooking the sea. We got there by asking the driver to take us to a place where the best food was served and that locals went to. The caldo de camarón is simply wonderful and the Huachinango a la talla a must, both delicious in every way. Every time we go to Acapulco, we visit once or even twice during our stay...guess that says it all :)

The taxi driver in Acapulco, suggested this restaurant supposedly famous for squid and also for red snapper, which I love. They sell it by the kilo not pound and they cook it the way you want. My husband shared a big one with a very little salad and french fries. We were very disappointed, the fish was very spicy even though they promised it would not be. It was also overcooked.This was a Sunday and the place was very crowded, but later I found out that must people were either celebrating something or just drinking.I really did not think it was as good as they say, another driver took us to another place which we enjoyed a lot better and it was much cheaper.
