I went 4 times around 7 when we get home from work and they are made of baked kartoffels. we even called ahead and asked if they had kartoffels this time. we were told, and then, when we got there 10 minutes later, we were told that there were no kartoffels. they have an hour before the closing! there is no excuse. first, you shouldn't close at 8. too early for a restaurant at the weekend. second, if they are open til 8 they should have their complete menu until then. the next day can be used baked kartoffels if they have too many. if they don't want to wear them, they take them from the menu, just like you made brunswick stew. stupid movement. brunswick onepot is a bbq favorit. I don't know who leads this place, but they have to be fired and replaced now! I'm not back. ever, they don't want to be open so they should close their doors. I am angry and frustrated.
Absolute WORST experience ever!!! Attempted to go through the drive-thru and sat there for a long time behind one car. I ended up just going inside to order. The young lady running the bar was very nice, but after I ordered I waited quite a while for my order. There didn’t seem to be any sense of urgency with the staff, specifically the kitchen staff carried themselves as if they really didn’t care. The woman who appeared to be a manager (maybe she wasn’t, not sure), finally called my name and handed me my food. She didn’t seem to really care that we had waited so long. I get there are staffing issues but some communication from the staff to the customers would really help.
I guess putting the Jim back in the Nicks made all the difference! We’ve had wonderful experiences the past few visits and we haven’t been in a few years. My wife ordered a baked potato with pulled pork for my son and came home with a nerf football size potato and they weren’t cheap on the amount of meat they gave him! Wow!! This thing is massive. He will get two full meals out of this!
I had the worst brisket I've ever tasted. It was cold and drier than beef jerky—completely inedible. To top it off, I ended up with food poisoning later that night. This place is not only serving bad BBQ, but it’s also unsafe to eat at.
It’s a Jim N’ Nicks now. Simply the worst Jim N’ Nicks I ever visited. Service is terrible and the food is worse. Ordered an Uber Eats chicken sandwich a couple of weeks earlier and was not given any white sauce. The meat only cover about half the bun. There was seriously an inch from the meat to the edge of the bread. Decided to go in person. Ordered a chicken sandwich and it took forever to arrive and when it arrived it was cold. Plenty of meat this time but all dark meat. I came at an odd hour and there were only a few people there. They obviously used me to take the time to pick all the dark meat off the left over chicken. Ordered a chocolate pie at the time I placed the order for the chicken sandwich and had eaten the sandwich and then had to walk around the restaurant begging for my chocolate pie. When it finally came, it came in a bowl with no crust other than the thick edge across the back. Pitiful. Get your BBQ anywhere but here. I’ve visited this location probably five times always hoping I would get an Alabama experience and end up wondering how I was so stupid to come back to this place.
