Steak 'n Shake - Acworth

Yesterday, I decided to go inside to place my order. To my surprise, there’s no longer any table service; instead, orders are placed at kiosks and food is picked up from the counter. I've always enjoyed their burgers, but they were quite disappointing this time. The buns were cold, and the burger was dry and basically tasteless. On the positive side, the onion rings were very good, and the tables were clean. However, that isn't enough to make me want to return to Steak and Shake.

I truly regret spending my money here. The food was barely worth $20 and was very disappointing. The meat was poor quality, the fries tasted old, and the milkshake was so freezer-burned that it was completely inedible. What used to be an enjoyable experience has now turned into a clear sign of neglect. They've reduced the menu to cut down on labor and food costs, but from what I observed, they're just throwing money away on unmotivated staff. The restaurant itself was filthy; the floors hadn't been cleaned in weeks, judging by the stickiness and the footprints from the kitchen. To make matters worse, there was an empty frame where their health score should have been. And the drive-thru menu looked like it had been vandalized for wiring.

I arrived at the drive-thru at 11:30 PM and reached the order box by 11:35. They started taking my order, but halfway through, they told me to hold on for a moment. I ended up waiting until after midnight. It would have been fine if they had simply said they weren't taking orders anymore, but starting my order and then changing their mind felt a bit excessive. I'm writing this while sitting at the drive-thru call box, 25 minutes after they began taking my order and asked me to wait.

Very disappointed. This location. Has now gone to kiosk ordering. It ask if you want to leave a tip. We left a tip thinking ok they will bring the food to our table. Nope, we had to get up to grab our meal. Our friend ordered a shake, more than half theshake was whipped cream. Now, the cleanliness of the restaurant, the floor was extremely sticky where our flip flops stick to itand the bathrooms were nasty. We won't be back. Use to love steak and shake but its gone downhill.

The general establishment is good, drive thru treats you well, if they mess up your order they are happy to fix it. That being said all the tables that I went to sit down at were fairly dirty, I asked an employee to see if they could get someone to wipethem down, they said yes and I never heard back. Aside from that, food was fairly good, fries were less than fresh tho. Overalla decent pit stop.
