Odessa House - Addison

What puzzles me is why they have a menu if the chef just throws in whatever they feel like. My meals often end up overloaded with half an onion sliced, a generous amount of banana pepper rings, and half a sweet pepper. While I can pick these out, it takes about 15 minutes and I’m usually left feeling disappointed by what’s left on my plate. I do enjoy spicy food, but this is just over the top, and none of it was mentioned on the menu. I really wanted the dish I paid for, especially since I had one delightful experience when it came out as described. It’s frustrating that this is the best option we have in such a remote area, so we continue to order here when we’re really not in the mood to cook or drive further for something we know we’ll enjoy. Ultimately, if the food were more consistent, I would definitely order from them more often. On a positive note, the bartender is fantastic!

We were very happy that Bucket Bar Grill was close and open as we were 5 very hungry hikers! We were pleasantly surprised how clean and new the restaurant was. The owner's mother was our waitress, she was a treasure! The portions were generous and the food delicious! Two of us ordered the chicken Philly Cheesesteak salad. The salad on my photo is the little one! We were impressed that lettuce no iceberg salad, only good healthy greens. We had also ordered the BLT and a Ruben with Fritten, who were also very good! We were all very happy that we made the choice to stop there! Food, atmosphere and service exceeded our expectations.

We stopped by this restaurant on a whim while my family and I were hungry and passing through the area on our way home. We were pleasantly surprised by the friendly service and the JUICY, DELICIOUS burgers. The boneless wings were also quite good. If you're in the area, definitely give it a try—it's worth the stop!
