We then had 2 waiters approaching us for drink orders at different times. We tried the A-Maize-ing Dip and it was ok, but lukewarm. We ordered the filet for dinner. Our waiter returned to the table and told us they were out of the filet. He also informed us they were out of ribs. A Saturday night and they are out of 20% of their entrees. We decided to split the chicken and biscuits. The gravy had congealed in the cups and would not pour out. The chicken was dry and difficult to chew. We finished off with the lava cake and coffee. The coffee took a while to arrive (dessert made it first). The waiter said he had to wait on a fresh pot, but it was cold when we drank it. The dessert was the one bright spot of the night.
Wife and I went for date night. Our waiter was very engaging and food was great. We later went out to the patio for the band. Excellent choice all the way around.. Thanks Porcino’s..
2nd time, but this time for dinner. Lunch is the better choice IMO based on the menu. Fish tacos are salmon based. I love salmon, but it is not good in a corn tortilla. I moved to eating it without the tortilla and thought it was very good by itself. The crazy queso dip is pretty good and unique with the corn. Ahi Tuna salad was large and ok, but quality of the tuna was disappointing. Charcuterie and cheese board was much bigger than expected. Would have liked more cheese with more variety and less meat. Somehow they didn't have their homemade pastrami on the board; server said they ran out (6:30pm on a Friday? . I like the design, but there was a loud table of women, all talking at the same time, which exposed the lack of ceiling insulation (just too loud . Cocktail menu needs to be updated as some they do not serve anymore. I do like this place, but it needs some improvements, especially given its hard to get to location. They might consider some live music inside if the acoustics would work for it. Seems like it would be a good fit with an acoustic guitarist playing some background music inside during 5-8pm.
Service was great. The restaurant was empty on a Thursday eve for dinnee
Good food, great atmosphere, but the service was slow. Also, the menu is too complicated, but that seems to be the trend these days.
