Ate here last night as part of our stay at this amazing hotel. We were tipped off that this was the best of the restaurants here, and whilst not tried them all yet, so,far it has to be. We dined on the terrace on a warm but dark night and a view over the how the other half live villa complex. On a half board package, the choice of dishes is limited but still enough to select from. The amuse bouche of a potato foam with tasty crumbs was great, as was the three types of bread served with three butters, pus oil plus sea salt !. Our starters included the mellow yellow rice , which came as a kind of thick soup with rice but wasn 't yellow or really mellow but the Wife declared it lovely none the less. Mains were beautifully presented, and my Canarian pork was so good I could have taken a piece away for a nice snack later on a crusty roll !. I am no fan of bananas but the brioche of banana, rum and honey finished an excellent meal off nicely. Sergio the maitre D heads up a good team.
Simply exquisite food. The view over the mountains is quite beautiful and staff are very attentive. Wine was also lovely! I now know Avocado and Chocolate mousse is a thing! It was fabulous!
I applaud the aim to cook traditional canarian cuisine with a modern twist and the food all tasted very good. Just felt that the tastes and combination of flavours were rather basic and nothing really blew me away. Cheese board is a challenge when 4 of the 5 cheeses pretty much taste like Parmesan to my limited tasting skills. The team were wonderful and the Canarian we had was superb.
This gourmet restaurant has a Canarian influence and offers an extremely tempting tasting menu if you have the stamina. Regrettably, we didn’t. Our meal was beautifully cooked and presented although I am ashamed to say I forgot either to photograph any food – it all was utterly delicious. The Aguas waiters are especially plentiful and knowledgeable. The restaurant prefers no children under the age of 10.
