Chef Cody does a wonderful job each and every time and the dinner staff are always so attentive and wonderful!
We didn’t stay at the B&B did reserve the dinner with wine pairing which we enjoyed. This place is a beautiful, well cared for and well preserved farmhouse. The ambience can’t be beat. Early arrival means a glass of crisp champagne while you get to wander around and admire this gorgeous house (so don’t be late! . The food presentations were excellent and the wine descriptions were a nice touch. We enjoyed the wine and the food overall. Everyone on staff was excellent and accommodating. I could’ve use a bit more seasoning on some of the food courses but for the price of the food +wine pairing, ambience and wonderful staff you absolutely cannot beat this place. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation asap.
This is my second time enjoying the flawless celebration of the best seasonal Virginia food wine. The tasting menu is imaginative and delicious, perfectly paired with offerings from Veritas Flying Fox wineries.
The Farmhouse at Veritas is an amazing get away and if you're a wine lover, you need to get there sooner than later. The staff were amazing and attentive. The breakfast was delicious and the wines were amazing. This was our first venture into Virginia wines and it was not a disappointment. Veritas has sparkling wine that is the same quality (if not better) than a lot of champagne that Ive had. I will recommend this place to all I speak with.
My husband and I came here for a Friday night dinner and were delighted by the delicious menu prepared by ches Chris Tidwell and Ricardo Rafael. The property itself it beautiful and up for a tour as you wait for dinner to start at 6:30PM.Tonight the menu was duck breast with blood orange vinaigrette with ansom mills sea Island peas, carrots and parsley, paired with their cab franc. While duck isn't my favorite, I still found this course delicious! Then, we had roasted winter squash house made creme fraiche, freekeh, pistachios, and chimichurri. It was delicious, I love winter squash so I was delighted to see this on the menu. Then the third course was beef tend to Lauren with a red wine demi glace and rutabaga. I'd never had rutabaga before, but I'll definitely be seeking it out after this! Of course we finished with dessert, which was an absolutely divine lemon cheesecake served with blackberries and a lavender creme anglaise .The meal was served with an amazing pairing of wine which included Cabernet franc, Chardonnay, Claret, and a Kenmar.Overall, while definitely pricey, I'd say the experience, the beautiful location, service, food and wine is definitely worth it!
