La Taverne alsacienne - Agde

Went on a recommendation, can honestly say, the food and service was superb. Lived here now for ten years and could not believe we have only now found this place. We will now become regular diners.

Looking over the harbour, this lovely little restaurant is perfectly located. The owners warmly welcomed everyone personally and with the ability to speak many languages between them, ordering was not a problem. The food was good and plentiful.

After walking around for 30 mins trying to decide which restaurant to choose, this was a fabulous choice! It was busy and the menu of 3 courses for €18.90 appealed to us. The owner speaks great English, food delicious, i had salmon and my husband...steak, our friends had steak and everyone loved the food and atmosphere. Really great little restaurant and a must visit ...

We have been coming to Cap D 'Agde every summer for many years and have eaten regularly at 'La Taverne '. A smaller restaurant with a consistent team. We appreciate being recognised and greeted by name (there are many restaurants I eat at regularly in England where...each visit they treat you as a total stranger, so this attention to detail is very welcome to a Brit! . Fixed price menus are excellent at either €18 or €22 (2015 prices , offering a wider choice of meat and fish dishes than in most local restaurants. Drinks are very reasonably priced by local standards, and the house wine is good. We have just come to end of our holiday, and once again have eaten here 4 times during our stay. There are clearly many other 'regular ' customers as well. The team genuinely speak several languages, including excellent English, and English versions of the menu are available.
