Green House - Aguas Calientes

Great find for lunch in Aguas Calientes after touring Machu Picchu all morning! Thanks Happy Cow! Had the quinoa soup to start (it’s huge and full of veggies, so good to share) and Vegan Saltado (mushrooms, veggies, over brown rice in a light sauce). All amazing. Bonus points because water was in glass.

El restaurante es precioso y ofrece varias opciones vegetarianas que también son aptas para veganos. Aunque no tenían postres veganos, me ofrecieron la posibilidad de preparar uno especialmente para mí.

Not easy to find vegan food in this city. Green house has many vegan options on its menu and the staff is very ready to help with changes to meals. The place itself is very nice and the staff was very friendly.

Is one of the few restaurants with vegan options, but the food was not as good as expected. It was okay, but to dry.

The food tasted good, but there were not so many vegan options available. For the burger the restaurant had no vegan bread available, there was also no vegan cheese for the lasagna. Other than that, the interior of the restaurant is really sweet and the food we tried was good. Prices here are quite high, but Aguas Calientes is just a city for tourists, making them a reasonable compared to other places in the area.
