Une belle découverte dans ce petit village gersois : accueil chaleureux et un cuisto très accommodant concernant régime contraignant. Cadre original et sympathique.

I wrote about this charming bistro several years ago and some things never change: My husband and I still love going there and enjoying the colorful ambiance and terrific camaraderie of Brocanthe La Belle Histoire. Nancy Kruyver and her family have created a welcoming spot for locals and visitors to enjoy wines of the region as well as a wide variety of tapas and foods, depending on the day's menu -- satays, paella, curries, or the more traditional fair of the Gers region of France.The brocanthe, itself, is an antique/second hand store that, with its pretty little fairy lights and eclectic decor and furnishings, oozes quaintness and warmth. However, the restaurant is at its best in the warmer months of the year when the umbrellas and cafe tables are outside, at the edge of the Aignan town square. Here, over an 'assiette' of cheese and pate, with a glass of chilled local Colombelle white wine, it is fun to watch the comings and goings, and see what life is life in a typical medieval hamlet in southwest France. The brocanthe is open most days (usually not on Wednesdays) for coffee and lunch, and dinner by reservation.

J'y suis dans mon univers. Il y a de la brocante, de l'art, des artistes, des repas végan. Une bonne ambiance mais aussi des valeurs que je partage. Produits bio, protection animale, création de liens, partage, vin est local. Animaux acceptés. Terrasse verdoyante. Il y a un peu de magie... Bien en couple en famille entre amis en solo et pourquoi pas en affaire.

Love this place, Nancy and Inge run a tight ship, you might enjoy a coffee in the morning and take in the atmosphere. You could do a little shopping for something special you did not know you wanted/needed and the menus are varied and interesting. Great food twinkly lights, good music and wonderful atmposphere.
