Chicken on the Way - Airdrie

For $7 I enjoyed a small box stuffed to the rim with delicious French fries/awesome chicken and corn fritter. Best fast food value

Last visit in Airdrie, it closed before I could make it there. Managed to make it this time with time to spare. I chose this place as I had a chicken craving, and have never tried it before. Everything is deep-fried, to start off, so don't expect a non-greasy food box, etc. Had the chicken tenders, fries, corn-fritters. Tenders were good, chicken was nicely cooked but very plain. Fries were greasy though, and some were pretty soggy. Corn fritters, were... well, corn fritters, but somewhat blah and tasteless. I'd probably come back to try again, but realistically it wouldn't be on the top of my list.

Heard so much about it we just had to try it. It was worth it and will continue to go back there. The chicken was great less greasy than a competitions place. The fries were like homemade. The salad and gravy were delicious! I really liked the corn fritters.

Terrible just terrible. Not even close to the original restaurant on 14th street in Calgary. Dunn family stop selling to people who don't care what they sell. Fires under cooked and chicken has no flavour. Use to be loyal to Chicken on the way but you have lost me with yet another lack lustre franchise.

This was my first visit here and after so many good things I heard about this place I had to come here. Waited about ten minutes for my order but it was piping hot and my box was piled with fries! The fries where a little greasy and they charged 25 cents for honey for the corn fritters but what else would you expect! It was a great treat, prices seemed really low for the generous portions, I wish they had a seating area as we where travelling thru Airdrie.
