The chicken was lightly coated with high-quality ingredients, served crispy and hot. It was much better than the greasy, heavy options from chain restaurants.
The restaurant has a small menu with Fried Chicken as the main specialty. I decided to try the BBQ Beef Bowl, which was essentially BBQ Beef and Vegetables served over rice. The dish was decent, but nothing remarkable. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again. However, the Fried Chicken is popular among customers, so if you enjoy that, this restaurant may be worth a visit.
The fried chicken at this restaurant is absolutely delicious. We are regular customers and have never been disappointed - the food is consistently excellent every time we visit.
My family used to make the monthly trip from Southwest Calgary to Yum Yum Chicken in Airdrie for their outstanding 5-star fried chicken. However, during our recent visit, we noticed a change in quality. The batter was not as light and fluffy, and the chicken lacked the amazing marinade that we loved. The taste was now very plain and not worth the long drive. We hope that they bring back the original recipe, but until then, we will not be returning.
I didn't care for the odd potato dish, but I absolutely loved the chicken with all its flavors. The service was a bit slow, but the wait was worth it because everything is cooked to order, resulting in crispy perfection.
