Izumi - Aix-en-Provence

We fell by chance on this simple but alleviating little restaurant. barely sitting, we were already immersed in the heart of the japon, notably by a warm and warm welcome but also professional (small fresh towels to have clean hands, a presentation of the map and dishes.) despite our experience in terms of Asian restaurants and especially Japanese, for the first time we were able to taste small simple but tasty dishes. vegetables were crunchy and sushi melted with a special mention for the dorade. We were also pleasantly surprised by the freshness of the products and dishes we felt that the preparation was done on the moment. a last positive point, the value/price ratio: the cost is reasonable given the quality of the products and the aixian situation of the restaurant. to sum up, an excellent little Japanese restaurant in which we look forward to returning; especially in the evening to taste the other flavors offered by the card, and I would strongly advise my entourage. Also think about booking! The restaurant is a victim of its success and is filled quickly.

You will find authenticity in this small restaurant near the square of the rotunda of Aix. The recipes smell good the japon: you can easily imagine yourself in the tokyo alleys to eat in a small rink. do not expect to be in a gastronomic environment either. I'm less convinced by the cooking of rice, though. The portions are small. prices are a little too high despite the quality of the raw materials used: 18€ for a teriyaki salmon (flat without accompaniment) or 13€ for 5 sushi (between). The service is perfect: professional, smiling and small care.

I went there on the day of the opening last summer, and I returned with pleasure this summer. The kitchen is simple but refined. we feel that the approach of the bosses is sincere and that they really have a heart to make discover an authentic Japanese cuisine. which does not prevent the leader from highlighting local products. a very good address for lunch.

Authentic cuisine with excellent products, attentive service, I recommend without hesitation. for me is the best Japanese restaurant in the area ❤
