I chose the blanquette de veau after a entrée des terrine and my partner chose the confit de canard both excellent, while the pain perdu was for dessert from this world. a clear return awaits!
This restaurant is located behind the cathedral. Very friendly service and delicious food. Your lamb is wonderful. Good wine selection. Very nice feeling for the place. I highly recommend it.
I was recommended this place by my guide. it was so beautiful! the waitress/staff is so friendly and warm, she explained the whole menu in English to a group next to me. I had a delicious 3-course menu. I started with salmon and olives. pissaladière who was beautiful. the crust was so flocky and crisp. I then had the duck cover for the guy who was so delicious! the duck was boiled exactly right and the garlic potatoes were amazing. I had the profiterole for dessert that were incredible. the baked was so crispy and there was an egg in the middle! with a lot of saw and chocolate up. 10/10 recommend. I'll be back!
This is a charming small bistro in a quiet side street. There are tables outside on a narrow pavement but only big enough for 2 . Bigger parties have to eat inside which is an intimate space. We were served promptly politely and efficiently by...a friendly waitress when we had supper there. The menu was short and the deceptively simple food well prepared and presented. We started with terrine de porc maison avec cornichons and oeufs mimosa, which were delicious. We followed with baked cod and duck comfit which were again very good. All washed. down with an excellent and reasonably priced bottle of Macon solutre. Not the place to go for haute cuisine but a very good simple meal in quiet surroundings and a respite from the bustle of the nearby squares.
I had a wonderful dinner with my sister on my last evening in Aix: the fois gras was delicious, as were the chicken and the duck. Everything was just perfect, and Florian the waiter made the evening even more special being very kind and cheerful....The tarte tatin was the perfect closure, one of the best I have ever had.
