I was going to tip regardless since the service was great, but then I got my bill, and I saw a 10% service charge . When I asked what it was, the man told me it was the tip. So you no longer give an option for people to tip and demand it.
I’ve ordered many times over the last 10 11 years for my family and I and it’s my favourite Hakka restaurant in the Durham region. Recently, I ordered party trays for a special event with all my friends on July 21st. I ordered chilli chicken, beef with black pepper sauce, crispy ginger fish, and eggplant in spicy garlic sauce. All the trays were packed well to ensure no spillage, food was tasty, and was more than enough. I would even order less next time, but it was still very affordable. Thank you!Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie options you can ask them to cook eggplant, tofu, or mixed veggies in any sauce for example.
I visited this place today with my family, and we ordered Lollipop chicken, which was raw and the soup was also subpar. I will never return to this place.?
Been going here for the last three years. Almost better to go inside to see if they are busy. And only then order. This way you know the food is moving. Always got the Bombay chicken..How ever after getting it yesterday. Was too salty and not enough of the garnish dressing like they did before. Ended up going in the waste.
Worst service! Would not recommend the food of this place to anyone!! Ordered takeout Bombay paneer and received chicken instead, which was absolutely careless of the staff. Mind you we are pure vegetarians and have never eaten non veg in our entire life. Two of our friends tasted the chicken today, this is totally careless and unacceptable behaviour. When we called the restaurant, they were blaming it on us asking us the colour of the food and whether we were really sure if it was chicken. They should be questioning their own irresponsible behaviour while packaging with orders. The mistake itself was a very unfortunate oversight, but the way it was handled was simply unacceptable. Instead of showing genuine concern and immediately resolving the situation, they seemed disinterested and indifferent, as if they couldn't be bothered to correct their mistake. The lack of empathy displayed by the staff left me feeling disrespected and invalidated as a customer. Definitely -1000/10 regarding the food and service and will never order from this place again! Totally ruined the mood!In light of this experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend this restaurant to any vegetarian or anyone with dietary restrictions. Their lack of attention to detail, apathetic customer service, and inability to rectify their mistakes demonstrate a complete disregard for their patrons' needs. I am utterly disappointed and I strongly advise against dining here!
