However, we were extremely disappointed with the lechon as the skin was not crispy and was overcooked. The pig's face was not properly cleaned as there were still hairs left on the skin. Despite picking it up on time and only being a 10-15 minute drive from the restaurant, the lechon was not fresh. We paid $255 for it and felt that it was not worth the price.
The restaurant has a fast food, cafeteria style atmosphere with minimal decoration for dining in, but the food is delicious. The Pork With Shrimp Paste is particularly outstanding, especially when paired with white rice. Shrimp paste, a fermented salty paste made from shrimp, is traditionally used by Chinese cooks to flavor pork dishes. While some may find the smell and taste overpowering, this Filipino version is more subtle, with a hint of shrimp paste flavor and a sweet sauce that balances everything out perfectly. The price is a bit on the higher side at $8 for a small portion.
I recently returned to this restaurant and the difference from my first visit was like night and day. The portions are now much larger and the quality of the food is excellent. I regret not trying it sooner, but it's better late than never. I would give the food a rating of 5 out of 5.
I would t call the place spectacular. They serve the same food most of the time. Consistency of the taste is sometimes an issue, too salty at times and often too heavy and oily. Service is okay. For anyone who just needs a quick Asian meal, it’s so so.
Food was disgusting. I ordered two beef patties and it was spoiled the peanut chicken was just a large piece of fat and food was not flavourful enough. I did come during closing but that doesn't give them the right to serve spoiled beef patties. Soo gross.
