Despite this, I enjoyed a meal of steak, potatoes, and asparagus. The steak and asparagus were tasty, but the highlight was definitely the potatoes. However, I was informed that the steak sauce was not safe for me to consume. I ended my meal on a high note with the gluten-free strawberry champagne cheesecake, which was absolutely delicious. Although the servers were not well-trained in handling celiac and cross-contamination issues, I did not experience any negative effects after eating there. Overall, while the food was decent, the lack of comprehensive gluten-free options and potential risk of cross-contamination make it unlikely that I would return for another meal.
The restaurant offers a gluten-sensitive menu with a good variety of options. I tried the spicy tuna poke bowl and it was excellent. The service was quick and accommodating.
I recently dined at the Pickering State and Main, and unfortunately, the gluten-free options were limited for those with celiac disease. The restaurant does not have a separate fryer, which greatly reduces the number of gluten-free dishes available. Despite this, I enjoyed a meal of steak, mashed potatoes, and asparagus. The steak and asparagus were overly charred, but the mashed potatoes were excellent. The server informed me that the steak sauce was omitted because the chef was unsure of its gluten-free status. However, the gluten-free strawberry champagne cheesecake was a standout dessert. The staff did not seem knowledgeable about celiac disease or cross-contamination, but I did not experience any ill effects after my meal. Overall, while I had a decent dining experience, I do not believe it is worth a return visit.
I have the pacific rim bowl and gf bun burger
