Stangholmen Fyr - Akland

We took a boat to the island where the Lighthouse Restaurant is located. The boat captain was friendly and funny, making the journey enjoyable. The restaurant's location is beautiful, with the option to take a walk or climb the lighthouse for great photos. The interior is authentic and welcoming. We tried the "Kveite" for our main course, which was good, and the sauce was well done. The St. Jaques starter was delicious, but the clam starter was a bit disappointing. Overall, the location was the highlight, with the food being above average but could use some improvement. We were happy we made the trip!

This restaurant is in a super romantic setting with fantastic staff, delicious food, and impeccable service. It's an experience not to be missed - especially if you can catch a live performance while you're there.

Slow service, disappointing food. The fish and chips is based on frozen fish. Why, in Risør?? Seriously! The location is amazing, but not going again until they improve the food and service.

We arrived at the restaurant by boat during the tourist season, but encountered motor problems. A young staff member initially said it was fine to stay the night, but the owner later insisted we leave when he returned. As a local, I have visited this restaurant multiple times and have always been disappointed with the service provided when docking a boat at their pier. Additionally, the owner suggested we use a safer harbor if we were unable to start our motor.
