Bryggjan - Akureyri

Our cruise ship stopped here at the port. It was too far to walk to the bus stop, so we just stopped in a nearby restaurant for a beer. It was a great choice. The staff members were friendly and helpful. We had a Viking beer. It was great! The inside of the restaurant has the original timber that is 150 years old. The stone is 150 years old. This was truly a wonderful place to stop!

Great service..friendly… after spending 3 wks in Europe..this was the best meal. We long to return to this place!

Outstanding catch of the day Cod. Very tasty. Stopped in for a bit of local flavor while on the Celebrity Summit. Glad we did Einstok White Ale was very nice too it’s a local wheat beer with just a touch of fruity flavor.

Food would benefit from more seasoning and larger portions (for the price). Deserts were disappointing. Was expepting more for that price, but the atmosphere, service and the look of the dishes was very good.

We had a lovely evening at Bryggjan. The dinner was delicious and the presentation of the food was one of a kind. Especially the drinks were well balanced with extravagant notes. On top the kindeness of the stuff will be remembered. Thank you !
