The staff was friendly and the service was super fast. We both enjoyed a slice of their homemade Classic White Almond Cake—absolute heaven! I love this place! The fresh, warm popovers with cinnamon butter are a delight, and the sandwiches are reasonably priced at $7.89, while the fresh salads are around $6.35, with the pasta salad of the day as a side. The atmosphere is charming, whether you choose to order takeout or relax and dine in. My first visit, I tried the chicken salad sandwich and, while I enjoyed it, I’ll skip the croissant next time since the popovers with cinnamon butter are too good to pass up. On my second visit, I brought my husband, who ordered the meatball special. He wished the meatball sub had been served hot with melted cheese, but he still thought it was very good. My turkey and cheese sandwich was nice, though I would have liked a little more of the delicious cranberry sauce instead of the Aioli. I absolutely adore the rustic atmosphere of this café. The homemade desserts are truly fabulous. Popovers on Main is exactly what Alachua needs, and I highly recommend it!

Popover is not just a well-organized establishment; it's a delightful restaurant with meticulous attention to detail. Everything operates seamlessly, and the lunch menu is mouthwatering. Our group of eight visited for lunch and immediately fell in love with popovers as soon as we walked in the door! From chicken salad to meat salad, along with soup and sandwiches, every dish was delicious, and the delightful surprise that followed was just as tasty!

Excellent food and service! I ordered the Reuben sandwich while my wife had the Caprese sandwich. Both were delicious, and the popovers were fantastic. It's wonderful to have a new, fresh lunch spot in downtown Alachua. I highly recommend it!

Love this place! The price is right and the food is great. Family owned by the toughest working woman in the country, which should be an interior. The place is also beautiful!

Hot food on a cold rainy day, yay! The hot meal special today was delicious... meat loaf, scalloped potatoes, green beans, corn bread, and a side ceasar salad. Service was quick and friendly. Thank you!
