Went tonight and the Asian pear salad, lime chicken and bread pudding are ridiculously wonderful. We also had the beet salad, the beef tenderloin and chocolate mousse. Cocktails were the pomegranate gin tonic (which we took to go) as well as a special Valentines Day cocktail with Gin/Elderflower/Grapefruit/Rose/Lemon/Egg White. Cody the mad hatter of mixology made a syrup out of the Rose wine and you really could tell it was a soft and delicious refreshing cocktail. Holy smoke it was fabulous Just love love love this place. The food, the atmosphere. To quote after watching the Super Bowl Dr Dre: STILL... Fun, delicious, charming and excellent people. Just amazing.
Baby, time is a concept and age is a number. Life is short and so are some people. This place does not fall short. I'm honestly flabbergasted that I never thought about coming here considering how long this place has been around. I came here with my partner and her mother. It was actually her mom recommendation and it was a hit. The staff was super nice, you can tell that the people who come here are mostly regulars. So we at least knew they would have consistency in their dishes. What we ordered: Maza platter Duck strudel Potato and leek Bolañi French onion soup Aushak ravioli Lamb kabob Farro risotto Chocolate moose Don't get it twisted, all these dies he were killers. I would definitely return again and again :
*Open for indoor dining, limited outdoor dining, and takeout* I come to Angela's pretty often as a friend got me hooked on this place. And I have a friend who has been coming here for ~25 years. Service and staff: I love the open kitchen layout so you can see the owner and other staff making the meals Staff all wear masks All staff are so polite and willing to help out wherever they can Cody, the bartender, has won awards for his skill and is great at making drinks Food: Spicy chicken sausage linguine: I've gotten this 3 times and still enjoy it every time. This isn't a spicy dish, so don't let the name deter you away. Good serving size for one person's meal or a dish to split. Lamb kebab: my friends get this dish a lot. Comes with a kebab, veggies, and basmati rice. Little lighter on the serving size. Drinks: As mentioned above, Cody is great. I told him I like spicy drinks, and he makes me a delicious spicy margarita. My friend like sour and fruity, and Cody never disappoints with the drinks he comes up with from that request. Manto: these delicious steamed dumplings are a delicious way to start your meal off. Comes with 5, so it's definitely an appetizer sized dish. Lime chicken: this lightly breaded chicken pairs so well with the lime zest and sauce added (the lime is it overbearing at all), the mashed potatoes, and veggies. I've personally never been a fan of cooked carrots, but I love the carrots in this dish! Miscellaneous: There is a shared parking lot with the Marketplace and other small shops. There's also street parking in the front There is a TV screen for sports (the volume is typically low since this isn't a sports bar)
My partner wanted to pick something up from here. He said you could get a 3 course meal for $10 (it was a vegetarian option, and we wanted some animal protein). We ended up getting the 3 courses for $20. It consisted of a rather nice sized piece of salmon that was cooked perfectly with crispy skin and the inside was not over-cooked. The salmon was was on top of a generous portion of an assortment of veggies, corn relish, and topped with a pomegranate balsamic glaze that had a pleasantly delicious sour flavor. Oh, I guess that would be 2 courses in one container. Then there was a small salad with torn fresh lettuce and a few tiny pieces of grape tomatoes. There was a tiny chocolate dessert--it seemed like a quarter cup of whipped chocolate. So, I guess they served 3+ servings. Like I was saying the salmon and veggies were most excellent but the salad was a token salad to me, I was going to give them only 4 stars, because I was accidentally calling the salmon and veggies one item, when it was actually two. They were only doing take-out. It would have been wonderful to actually dine in their beautiful restaurant. I hope to dine in their dining room soon!
