Cafe Hollywood - Albany

I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. The staff was friendly, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was cool. It wasn't too loud, making it easy to have a conversation. They played a nice variety of music that you could dance to. Don't let the exterior deceive you - the restaurant is actually quite spacious, with a second floor and an outdoor area for when the weather is nice.

I called ahead to inquire about the quality of the pool table and was assured it was decent. However, when we arrived, we found a table that was in poor condition with drink stains and felt so loose that it was easily stretched with a hand. A second bartender came in during what appeared to be a shift change and began playing loud music. The staff seemed to ignore a guest who was yelling for over half an hour, causing a disturbance in the bar. Despite these issues, the service we received was adequate.

The food at this restaurant was excellent! I ordered the Burger and was impressed by the quality and portion size. My partner had the BBQ wrap and also enjoyed it. The drinks were just right in terms of strength. The outdoor patio was absolutely lovely. My only bit of constructive criticism would be that the music was a bit too loud. It made it difficult to have a conversation with the volume so high.

Great place to go. Great food and friendly staff. Just come back open have a drink or bite and enjoy some pool, darts and other games available.

Leave back atmosphere and great bar to pack some punchies and play some games from pool. Beautiful beer selection on tap. I stopped for a quick happy hour drink. Service was fast and pleasant. A solid clip of the Albany Bar scene that was around for a while!
