Islice - Albany

The pizza was amazing, and the prices were excellent. However, the cleanliness of the restaurant and the restroom could use some improvement. I highly recommend this place for any pizza lover!

If you're looking for some thin crust NYC-style pizza, iSlice is a surprisingly good and quite affordable option. It's a bit amusing because our other favorite spots are either a long trek from the pricey Solano Stroll (like Raymond's) or really expensive (like Zachary's), or they’re both overpriced and inconvenient to order from (like Emilia's, which is definitely worth the effort, I promise). Then there's iSlice. It’s unpredictable, with hardly ever a line or much of a wait, yet it consistently serves delicious New York-style pizza without the fuss. You’ve got to love it. This is the closest I've come to authentic pizza from the tri-state area since moving away. As a Jersey boy, I can say this pizza is really good. I appreciate the fully crispy crust here, but true New York-style pizza is chewy and foldable while still having a crispy texture. It's clear they use the same ovens found in the Brooklyn, New Haven, and Elizabeth areas, which is a nice touch. Also, let's be real—authentic Italian pizza doesn’t have pineapple on it!
